"Every human being is the artificer of his own fate - events, circumstances, etc., have their origin in ourselves. They spring from seeds which we have sown." -- Henry David Thoreau
The second time, while she had gone inside to deal with tourists, the tour guide who was waiting outside noticed I was flipping through a Turkish dictionary. He was impressed with the little Turkish I had learned so far and asked what I was doing there.
"Well, actually, Im going down South to help Syrian Refugees. Do you know any?"
"Actually, my next door neighbors are Syrian. THey just came here a month ago and they don't speak to anyone. They seem pyschollogically afraid, as if everyone is a spy. But I can imagine they would need help."
"Can I please have the address? " I asked.
I have it. Thats where I'm headed now. They may think Im crazy, showing up at their door like this. Did I see the Hagia Sophia yet? No. Instead, I saw the tour guide who had the exact information I needed.
Part 2 to come after it happens. I have quite a distance to travel to by metro and bus. Lets see if I get there. If you read this while Im on my way there, please pray that it goes well. I feel like it was destined that I meet them. The info came to me. I just had to sit there and drink tea to wait for it.
